History: This is an Austrian Landler Paartanz from the Ziller valley. There are several variations of this dance within tha valley
Beginning Figure: Grossenkreis - all couples in a circle with men to the inside, women to the outside. Joined hands are held chest height.
Anfang - Introduction (2 m.)

Note: On the downbeat, men start on the LF, women on the RF throughout.

Figure 1 - Peek-a-Boo
1-8 Swinging the joined hands forward the dancers pivot; men facing in, women facing out for the first 3c. of the m. Swinging the joined hands backward the dancers pivot facing each other for the last 3c. of the m.
Figure 2 - Dancers Circle in Place
9-16 Woman steps in front of her partner facing contra LOD. Dancers swing their joined hands with thumbs together and chest height left and right while circling in place. The couple makes one complete turn, turning only 45 degrees each m.
Figure 3 Couple Stroll
17-32 With hands still joined, woman turns CW folding her LH behind her back; man moves partner close with his face over woman’s left shoulder. Waltz forward for 8m.
For last 8m., woman turns CCW one full turn out of outside stroll position into an inside stroll position with man’s face over her right shoulder. Complete figure is done with continuous motion. On the last 3c. of the final m. of the figure, woman turns out CW to face her partner.
Figure 4 - Stepover Knot
33-40 Complete stepover takes 4m. as detailed below:
m.1
1c.-3c. Woman kneels on her RK and brings her RH and man’s LH as close to the ground as possible.
4c.-6c. The man steps over the lowered hands with his RF.
m.2
1c.-3c. The man steps over the lowered hands with his LF.
4c.-6c. Woman stands up while man continues to turn CCW until he faces his partner.
m.3 The man continues to turn CCW while placing his and his partner’s hands under his right armpit. Then man turns one rotation under the hands.
m.4 The man turns to woman CW to unwind her to the beginning position, dancers facing each other with hands joined, thumbs together chestheight. The knot is repeated for a total of two knots.
Figure 5 - Women Turn
41-44 Dancers join RHs and woman turns CW while circling her partner CCW for 2m. ending up on the man’s right side. The woman joins the man’s LH behind his back with her LH.
The dancers waltz in and out for 2m. while circling in place CCW + turn, thus facing contra LOD (CW).
Man pulls woman behind him with his LH/her LH. Woman turns CCW while circling the man CW for 2m. ending up on the man’s right side. Woman puts her RH behind her back and joins man’s RH. The dancers waltz in and out for 2m. WITHOUT circling in place, thus facing contra LOD (CW).
45-52 Woman extends her RH out and turns CCW under the man’s right arm while stepping in front of the man. The woman will be facing LOD (CCW). This should take 1m. Both dancers turn; men CW, women CCW one rotation ending up facing each other with hands joined and crossed, RH on top. This should take 1m. Dancers swing hands in and out of the large figure while executing the waltz step in place for 6m. Men are facing contra LOD (CW); women are facing LOD (CCW).

53-54 Woman turns in place CW 2 full rotations with hands held high. This will form a small window with dancers’ left shoulders to partners’ left elbow.
55-60 Couple turns in place CCW for 6m. ending up with men facing contra LOD (CW), women facing LOD (CCW)
61-62 Woman turns in place CCW 4 full rotarions with hands held high. This will form a small window with dancers’ right shoulders to partners’ right elbow.
63-68 Couple turns in place CW for 6m. ending up with men facing contra LOD (CW), women facing LOD (CCW).
Figure 7 Large Window
69-76 Woman turns in place CW 2 rotations while dropping the left hand and turning into the man’s left arm with RH held high above the head. Waltz for remaining m.s
77-84 Woman turns in place CCW 1 rotation mirroring the large window on the other side. Waltz for remaning m.s
Figure 8 - End Figure
85 Couple unwinds the last large window and assumes a formal waltz position
86-90 Couple waltzes in a small circle.
91 On c.4, woman turns under the man’s LH 1 rotation.
92 On c.4, man lifts woman into the air under her arms. Woman should help man with a short hop.
